Same Sports

Have you ever felt left out? Have you ever wanted to do something but people would not let you because of your race, sex, religion or another type of discrimination? Sometimes that is how females feel because in BLANK TOWN, BLANK STATE females are not allowed to play football, rugby, or baseball for the BLANK BLANK SCHOOL. I do not think this is fair because females are just as strong as males. The school should have to let females play the same sports as males because of Title IX.
Title IX states " No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance. " (Title IX of the education amendments of 1972, 20 U.S.C. 1681-1688 ) People should respect this more than they do. People should respect this because it is part of the constitution. Obviously people do not respect this because females are not allowed to play what are considered male sports in the BLANK BLANK school.
I know a lot of females that would like to play football, rugby or baseball. Many females think this is unjust and against the constitution. I also think that females are still thought of as cheerleaders or fans in the stands. Some females hate cheerleading as a sport and would rather play a rugged sport.
I really think that the way females were treated throughout history could have something to do with why people are so sexist when it comes to sports or who is stronger, a male or a female. I also think that sexism in sports is wrong. The way females are treated when it comes to sports is unjust. I know from experience that when a female goes to a tryout for a sport they are made fun of or told to go away.
The next time you think a female is not as good at sports as a male or do not have the same ability, try thinking about how it makes a female feel. The way females are discriminated against when it comes to sports is unjust. You would not want people to discriminate you based on your race, sex, religion, or something else the people can discriminate against.
My daughter brought this home from school today, she had no help from me. She is 11 years old. I am very proud of her thought process and investigation into something she believes in.

Rock on, H! Nice paper. A feminist in the making. You should try out for the football team and then SUE THEM if they don't let you :-)
Really great writing, H. Being able to express yourself well is an extremely valuble talent. Thanks for sharing with us.
She really thought alot about writing that paper. She called her father and read it to him over the phone. I held her in my lap crying when he didnt approve of it. FCN AHOLE. My husband stepped in and told her she did a great job and I think she felt a little bit better. I really would love to kick him where it counts.
